Adele

The simplicity and the colors of this picture really caught my eye when I accidentally looked at the today's daily deviations.

There's a nice flow from eyebrows to nose, the color choice in her hair is quite unusual and wild (meanwhile Adele's face seems to be rather gentle), but harmonizes very well with the rest of the image. I like the way the artist gave purple highlights on the eyes and mouth region that stand out of the outlines of her face, and also the green color shades on her cheek. The strong contrast and the big areas of black gives it a very impressive feeling to this picture. Now to think that this is made with vectors makes me shudder in awe. This should justify the 5 stars on Impact and Technique.
There's a lot of emotion in this piece. The singer looks like she is closing her eyes to clear her mind from all of excitement before her performance, or she is singing in the middle of a song. It's like you are able to see in her face expression how much she is concentrating on her show and performance and how passionate she is.

It's a very unusal way of doing a portrait, though there are many out there that use this kind of shadowing. But overall, I like this very much. Congrats on the DD!
